Step-by-step
Depart for Hallowgrove from the dock. If the Battle Prep screen blocks matchmaking, clear the items it flags as contraband first.
Open the tactical map and set the blue exclamation mark as your waypoint.
Move to the marker, fighting or avoiding rival players and AI on the way.
Move toward the quest marker — expect AI and rival hunters · Official game imagery At the misty shack, clear the guarding enemies first — they cannot be sneaked past and will interrupt the interaction.
Climb to the upper level inside the shack. The glowing interaction point is up there, not at ground level where most players search.
Interactables often sit above eye level — Digging Deeper's marker is upstairs in the misty shack · Official game imagery Interact to register the investigation, then report to Dramm back in camp (60 gold, per the quest database).

Search intent is almost never “what is Digging Deeper?” — it is:
- I stood on the marker and nothing happened. → Wrong floor.
- Guards keep canceling the interact. → Clear them first.
- Is my game broken? → Usually no; the interaction is upstairs inside the misty shack.
